Through the generosity of Philip B. Lindy, Drexel University has established the Philip B. Lindy Inner-City Public School Program at Drexel University ("Lindy Scholars Program") to provide enhanced educational services to students, their families and schools in West Philadelphia.

Our Commitment to Philadelphia
The Lindys are involved in numerous Philadelphia charities and have a special interest in those that support its youth. They include the Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis and Education Center of Philadelphia, ASAP (an after school activity program), the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, the National Liberty Museum, the United Way’s PHEN program and First Artist, which provides young artists and schools with badly needed art supplies.
The Lindys are active leaders in the Jewish community. They are responsible for the creation and endowments of the Gershman Y’s Collaborative, along with Limmud, Adult Education and the Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival. The also provide Board Leadership and endow the Federation of Allied Jewish Appeal, Federation Housing and Hillel of Greater Philadelphia.
