Named in loving memory for Annabel F. Lindy, the matriarch of the Lindy family. Jewish Federation’s newly opened senior housing community “Annabel Gardens” in Willow Grove was nominated in February 2023 by Philadelphia Business Journal as one of the “Best Real Estate Deals of 2022” in Senior Affordable Housing!
Federation Housing, Inc. (FHI), a partner of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia will break ground on Annabel Gardens, featuring 54 one-bedroom apartments for seniors 62 years and older on Tuesday, November 16th. Upon its completion in fall of 2023, Annabel Gardens will provide much-needed affordable housing communities and services that empower low-and moderate-income seniors to live independently and with an enhanced quality of life.
The new 54 one-bedroom apartment building helps to fulfill the need for affordable senior housing in our area. This collaboration is just one of the ways that the Jewish Federation continues to support efforts to care for vulnerable populations, including aging adults in our community.
Funders for this project include a lead gift by the children of Annabel Flesher Lindy for whom the building was named. Annabel was committed to the local Jewish community, including serving many years on the Board of Jewish Federation and the Board of Federation Housing.
