The Lindy family was honored for their dedication to public service and their efforts in helping Philadelphia’s youth. Members of the Lindy family received the Judge Edward R. Becker Citizenship Award. The award ceremony took place at the Community College of Philadelphia in Spring Garden. Alan, Elaine, and Frank Lindy, together with their spouses and colleagues, are passionate about urban education. The Lindy family is credited for the establishment of Drexel University’s Lindy Scholars Program, which supports public schools in West Philadelphia.
